Mesothelioma Clinical Trial – Do Your Genes Put You at Risk?

December 10, 2013

mesothelioma clinical trialsAs a mesothelioma patient, you know all too well the frustration that persists over the helplessness and many unknown factors that surround the disease.  But what if as a mesothelioma patient you could join other mesothelioma patients all across the United States in accomplishing something significant in the fight against mesothelioma?  What if you could contribute to scientific knowledge through a mesothelioma clinical trial that could help prevent someone else from becoming a mesothelioma patient in the future?

Well, now you can.  And if the names Sloan Kettering, Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins ring a bell, you’ll realize that as a mesothelioma patient, you will be in very good hands. These are several of the major medical institutions involved in a new research study on genetics and mesothelioma. In order to move forward, this study needs volunteers who are mesothelioma patients just like you. In fact, 1000 of you are needed for the results to be meaningful.

If you do consider volunteering, please be sure to refer to this study by its ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT01590472
